Gustav Abel's Glass

This is Gus working at his bench at GTE Labs sometime in the early 1980's (I think). The torch he is using is the same one I use now, and the annealing oven behind him was passed to me too.

A decanter and glass set Gus made on his lunch hours at GTE. This is one of my personal favorites.




Clear borosilicate glass locomotive, body of the train frosted.

A locomotive that was also made during lunch hours. The overall length is 14 inches, and the wheels all move!
(Did I mention that I like the train, too?)
